The yacht is a classic wooden sailing vessel constructed in South Africa to the designs of John G Alden of Boston, Mass. The yacht was launched in 1985 and is of the brand known as the 744 series but is slightly larger than the original 744 series.
A superbly designed and constructed vessel, the boat is of carvel configuration and is built of iroko strip planking with the deck being ribbon laid in iroko over marine ply.
This vessel is a first class example of the design.
